WELCOME TO REDWOOD PARK RIDING STABLES
We would like to tell you a little about our family.
We moved to America from a little country called New Zealand which is down by Australia in the South Pacific.
Our family has been coming to the US regularly over the last 20 years and found each time to be better than the last , so we thought we would move the whole family over here, which consists of, Hugh, Mary, Samantha, Alex, also our dog Tess and two of our horses, Zena and Shoney.
We looked all over and finally found a lovely property in Groveland, Fl which has a lake out the back, allot of trees and a lovely park feeling.
We have built a new 12 stall barn with all the comforts of home.
The boxes are 12X12 and are very airy the bedding is cedar shavings, which is great for odor and insect control.
The arena we put in is 45 meters X 55 meters its surface is an all weather timber product called FIBAR, www.fibar.com this was specifically designed for the equine industry. It does not get dusty or blow everywhere, and has good footing for the horses, they seem to enjoy the cushioning effect because it does not jar their joints.
Our instructor teaches to US Pony Club requirements which is a little different to a hunter/jumper barn. Pony Club is a worldwide organization that originated in Great Britain. It teaches horsemanship and the care of horses and ponies. You can visit the Pony Club website at: www.ponyclub.org
